2 days ago · The Mazda CX-3 is equipped with a SKYACTIV-D 1.5-liter diesel engine, which is known for its fuel efficiency and power. However, like any other engine, it can experience some common issues that may require attention. One of the most common issues with the SKYACTIV-D 1.5-liter diesel engine is related to the diesel particulate filter (DPF).
Original DPF was blocked due to faulty injectors. Injectors were replaced and tested in common rail test machine and came out in proper working conditions. Even with DPF off made on file the oil level rises 1 Liter for 1000km. No white or black smoke while driving ever, but sometimes in continuous idle pours white smoke with strong odor.
The current standard, known as Euro 6 was introduced in September 2014, and reduced acceptable NOx emissions to just 0.08g/km. Conscientious manufacturers like Mazda have been working on emissions compliance for a long time, and in fact, our SKYACTIV-D engines complied with Euro 6 emissions restrictions as early as 2013, two years before the
