Android Auto Mazda Issues. The head unit in the '19s and on in Mazda's support both Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Fast forward last week, just bough a pixel 6. Still not working. So I assumed it could be the cable, replaced a couple of cables. None works either And if I plug the pixel 6 to the other usb port, it starts charging, but the one supposedly for android auto doesn't even register. To solve it we just have to follow the following steps: Go to Settings> Applications> Manage applications. Once inside, click on the options through the top three dots and access the option «Show all applications». After that, we will search for Google Play Services and proceed to "Clear data" followed by Clear cache.
So I just got my first Mazda a little over a week ago and I'm really loving it. The only thing missing to me was the connectivity. Android Auto would change the game for me so I researched it a lot before attempting anything. I wanted to share my experience in getting it working.
